Setup Guide

Get your WildCore™ feeder up and running

1Create Your Account

Head to mywildcore.com/portal/register.php and create your customer account. You'll get a verification email — click the link to activate.

Standalone Mini users (no plan): You can skip account creation entirely. The Mini works locally over WiFi without a portal account.

2Connect Power & Motor

What's in the box:

  • WildCore controller
  • Battery power cables
  • Feeder motor connection cables
  • Quick start guide

Hook it up:

  1. Connect your 6V or 12V battery to the controller (it auto-adapts — no jumpers or settings)
  2. Connect the feeder motor to the motor output
  3. Power on the controller
3Register or Configure

Pick the path that matches your setup:

ProCellular registration

  1. Log into the customer portal
  2. Click Register New Feeder and choose Pro
  3. Power on your Pro controller
  4. It will check in over cellular within a minute or two and automatically register to your account

PlusMini in Plus mode (WiFi cloud)

  1. Power on the Mini. It will start its own WiFi access point named WildCore-XXXX (last four characters are unique to your feeder)
  2. On your phone, connect to that network. Password: WildCore!
  3. Open http://192.168.4.1 in your browser (or http://mywildcore.local on most devices). The setup page will display a 4-digit pairing code and let you enter your home or property WiFi credentials so the feeder can reach the internet
  4. In the portal, click Register New Feeder, choose Mini (Plus mode), and enter the 4-digit code
  5. Once paired, the Mini will check in over WiFi and show up on your dashboard

MiniStandalone (no plan, no portal)

  1. Power on the Mini. It starts its own WiFi access point named WildCore-XXXX
  2. On your phone, connect to that network. Password: WildCore!
  3. Open http://192.168.4.1 (or http://mywildcore.local on most devices) and configure your schedule directly
  4. Done — no account needed. The Mini will feed on schedule on its own
4Set Your Schedule

From the portal (Plus or Pro) or the local web interface (standalone Mini):

  • Set up to 8 feeding times
  • Choose a duration up to 60 seconds per feed
  • Optional: use sunrise/sunset offsets so the schedule adjusts as seasons change
  • Save the schedule

For Plus and Pro feeders, schedule changes sync down on the next check-in.

5Deploy in the Field

Installation tips:

  • Mount in a somewhat protected location when possible
  • Make sure battery connections are tight and weatherproofed
  • For Pro models, give the antenna a clear path to the sky — GPS needs it for location and timezone
  • Run a manual test feed before walking away

Monitor anytime: With an active Plus or Pro plan, check the portal from anywhere for battery, signal, feed history, and group status.
